Beri Frydman is a multimedia artist who is deeply passionate about exploring the impact of capital accumulation on both society and the environment. His expertise lies in the study of social and natural history and how it relates to the great outdoors. Throughout his creative process, he enjoys pondering the concept of community and how our perception of it shapes our daily lives. It is no secret that our reliance on technology has shifted our relationship with nature, and now we find ourselves in a precarious position, impacting the delicate balance of the natural world. His goal is to initiate a diverse conversation about both local and global perspectives on the environment, landscape, and extraction industries. He has taken a unique approach to examining the mining industry, choosing to focus on the enchanting and mythical aspects of these spaces rather than solely the negative impacts. By doing so, he hopes to inspire a more optimistic and imaginative view of what the future could hold.

Beri graduated with a BA Hons degree in Marine and Natural History Photography in 2023 from Falmouth University.

Beri is currently working on What Seems Perfect Today Will Be Superseded Tomorrow, an exploration through mining extraction in Cornwall.

One of Beri’s next projects is pursuing a more in-depth exploration into the culture around fish farming in the West Highlands of Scotland.
